Fatal crash on Highway 17 leads to one death
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to a tragic car accident on December 3 in Craven County. The incident involved a pedestrian, 67-year-old Linda Williams, who was hit by a pickup truck as she tried to cross US Highway 17 in Bridgeton around 9pm. Despite being taken to CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern, Williams unfortunately passed away from her injuries. Currently, no charges are being filed against the driver of the pickup truck in relation to the incident.
