Fatal crash on Highway 120 involving hay equipment, per CHP

One person died and three others, including two juveniles, sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision involving a hay squeeze on Highway 120, as reported by the California Highway Patrol in San Joaquin County. The incident occurred at around 4 p.m. near Sexton Road, west of Escalon. A Toyota SUV inexplicably crossed into oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with the hay squeeze. The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene, while the two juvenile passengers suffered severe injuries. The operator of the farming equipment also sustained major injuries. Authorities anticipated a closure of the highway in the vicinity for at least two hours as of 6 p.m., with traffic being redirected at Brennan Road to the east and Van Allen Road to the west.
