Fatal crash on 60 Freeway in Pomona
An investigation is currently underway in Pomona following a fatal crash on the 60 Freeway that resulted in the deaths of two individuals. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning on the westbound 60 Freeway near the Ramona on-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, the single-vehicle crash involved the car colliding with the freeway's side and subsequently going up an embankment. A semi-truck driver who stopped to assist reported hearing a baby crying but no adults in the vehicle. Emergency responders found a critically injured baby and another adult, both of whom were transported to the hospital. Tragically, two other individuals from the car were ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. Following a closure of lanes for a little over three hours, traffic has resumed. The cause of the crash is still being investigated, and the conditions of the infant and adult are currently unknown.
