Fatal crash near Seymour kills woman

A tragic incident occurred in Seymour on Tuesday morning when a woman lost her life in a collision between two vehicles at the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and Stevens Way. Anna E. Grove, aged 41 and a resident of Seymour, was driving a gold 2007 Mazda passenger car that was involved in the crash with a 2025 Freightliner box truck. Despite timely medical assistance, Grove was pronounced dead at Schneck Medical Center following the collision. The driver of the Freightliner box truck was unharmed in the incident. The Indiana State Police are investigating the crash and have indicated that it occurred when Grove attempted to turn left onto northbound Stevens Way from eastbound U.S. Highway 50, leading to the collision with the box truck. The intersection was closed for about two hours for cleanup and investigation purposes. While authorities are still awaiting the results of toxicology tests, initial assessments do not suggest the involvement of drugs or alcohol in the crash.
