Fatal crash leaves one woman dead and two others injured
A fatal collision took place in Allen County involving a 72-year-old Franklin woman, resulting in her death and injuries to two men. The incident occurred early in the morning at the intersection of Clare Road and Franklin Road. The woman, Carolyn Brandon, was driving a Chevy Colorado and attempted a left turn onto Franklin Road, colliding with a Toyota Camry driven by 26-year-old Brendan Ploughe. While Brandon passed away at Franklin Medical Center, both Ploughe and passenger Jonathan Blackman sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to different hospitals. The investigation into the tragic crash is still in progress, State police reported.
