Fatal Crash Leaves Girl Dead, Two Injured
A tragic accident occurred near mile marker 460 of Interstate 90 in Yellowstone County on Friday, August 22, 2025, resulting in the death of a 12-year-old girl and injuries to two individuals. The incident involved a 42-year-old man driving a Jeep Gladiator with a 14-year-old boy and the girl from Burien, Washington. The Jeep veered off the road during a left turn, striking trees and overturning. Despite wearing seatbelts, the passengers were still harmed. The driver and the teenage boy were hospitalized for treatment, while the young girl tragically passed away at the scene. Alcohol, drugs, and excessive speed were not determined to be factors in the accident, as reported by the Montana Highway Patrol.
