Fatal crash involving tractor-trailer on I-20 in Clinton
A fatal accident involving an 18-wheeler and a car occurred on Interstate 20 in the westbound lanes, resulting in one fatality. The closure extends from the Highway 18 and Robinson Road exits in Jackson to the SpringRidge Road exit in Clinton. The Hinds County Interim Coroner confirmed the death of the car driver at the accident site. Investigations are currently being conducted by the Clinton police. If you are traveling on Wednesday morning, consider using Highway 80 or Highway 18 as alternate routes. The City of Clinton has estimated that it may take up to three hours to clear the area.
