Fatal crash involving three vehicles in Menominee Township
An 85-year-old man passed away following a three-vehicle collision in Menominee Township. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when a southbound SUV driven by Gary Gene Nyman crossed the center line on County Road 577 near Number 2 Road and collided with two northbound pickup trucks. While the drivers of the pickups sustained minor injuries, Nyman tragically succumbed to his injuries. First responders, including Menominee Police, Michigan State Police from Gladstone and Iron Mountain, Menominee-Ingallston Fire, Aurora Bay Area ambulance, and Emergency Rescue Squad Inc., quickly arrived on the scene to provide aid. The Michigan State Police is now assisting with the investigation and accident reconstruction.
