Fatal crash involving Oakland County Road Commission worker in Farmington Hills
A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday morning in Farmington Hills where a member of the Oakland County Road Commission lost their life in a crash, while two others were injured. Farmington Hills police reported that a Ford Escape veered out of its lane while traveling south on Orchard Lake, crossing a median and colliding with the road crew that was working on northbound Orchard Lake. The workers were engaged in drainage basin repair at the time of the accident. Although the crew had deployed proper safety measures such as emergency lights, warning lights, and cones, the vehicle still struck them. Authorities mentioned that the injured workers are in critical condition, along with the driver of the Ford Escape. The cause of the crash remains unknown, and investigators are currently on the scene conducting an investigation.
