Fatal crash involving Niagara Falls tour bus in New York
A tragic accident occurred on Friday when a charter bus overturned on its way back to New York City from Niagara Falls, resulting in multiple fatalities according to the New York State Police. The bus was carrying 52 individuals including the driver, with officials mentioning that one victim was likely a child. The crash took place on Interstate 90 in Genesee County, approximately 350 miles northwest of New York City. The State Police mentioned that numerous individuals sustained injuries and are being transported to nearby medical facilities by emergency vehicles and medical helicopters. No other vehicles were involved in the crash when witnesses reported that the bus lost control and overturned. The investigation into the incident is currently in progress. Governor Kathy Hochul expressed her concerns, posting on social media, "I’ve been briefed on the tragic tour bus accident... My team is coordinating closely with police and local officials to provide assistance to all affected."
