Fatal crash involving motorcycle in Lenawee County
A motorcycle crash in Lenawee County, Michigan has resulted in one fatality and one injury. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday on Devils Lake Highway, close to Waters Edge Drive in Woodstock Township. The Lenawee County Sheriff's Office disclosed that a 2023 Harley Davidson FLXSH was travelling northbound on Devils Lake Highway when the driver lost control, causing the motorcycle to veer off the road. The motorcycle collided with a mailbox, ejecting both the driver and passenger. Unfortunately, the driver, a 34-year-old woman from Hillsdale, was declared dead at the scene despite CPR efforts by a bystander before the arrival of emergency services. The passenger, a 36-year-old man, was taken to Henry Ford Allegiance hospital for treatment of his injuries. Neither individual had been wearing a helmet. The Lenawee County Accident Investigation Team is currently looking into the crash, with support from the Addison Fire Department, Somerset Fire Department, and the Lenawee County Medical Examiner's Office.
