Fatal crash involving Doug Skaff and tractor trailer on I-79 in Lewis County
Former West Virginia Delegate Doug Skaff tragically passed away in a vehicle accident in Weston, West Virginia. On June 10th at around 4 p.m., Skaff was driving on Interstate 79 when he collided with the back of a tractor trailer. Unfortunately, Skaff, who was from South Charleston and 48 years old, did not survive the accident. The tractor trailer driver was not harmed. The incident occurred near mile marker 101 and is still being investigated by State Police Crash Reconstructionist. Skaff had an extensive political background, serving nearly 12 years in the West Virginia House of Delegates and later running for the position of West Virginia Secretary of State and the state senate.
