Fatal crash involving Brightline train and car in Lantana
A vehicle collision with a Brightline train has resulted in the closure of the intersection at West Pine Street and Dixie Highway in Lantana. Unfortunately, the driver of the vehicle has passed away, as confirmed by the Lantana Police Department. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded to the crash site at West Pine St. and South 3rd St. around 1:55 p.m. The vehicle suffered significant damage upon impact with the Brightline train, and the driver was declared deceased at the scene.
