Fatal crash involving ambulance driver in Carbon County
An ambulance driver from Clarks Fork Valley EMS who was part of a two-vehicle accident on June 16 has passed away. Carbon County Sheriff Josh McQuillan confirmed in a statement that Everett Edwards, aged 84, succumbed to his injuries this week. Edwards had been an active member of the emergency services in the area for more than four decades. A memorial service for Edwards is scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m. at the Fromberg Public School Gymnasium. The collision occurred on Highway 310 between Fromberg and Bridger around 3:30 p.m. Edwards was driving the ambulance to an emergency call when the accident happened. The ambulance was struck by a pickup truck (Ford F350), causing it to overturn. The pickup driver, an 85-year-old Bridger resident, also sustained injuries in the incident.
