Fatal crash involving 2 teens, 1 injured: authorities
Two teenagers tragically lost their lives following a collision in the early morning on Sunday, as confirmed by Cleveland law enforcement to FOX 8 News. The incident unfolded on the northbound lanes of I-77 at the I-90 East/East 9th St./Ontario junction shortly after 1:15 a.m. Police disclosed that the vehicle involved was speeding north on I-77, overtaking others on the right side. Upon nearing the curve leading to I-90 East, the vehicle swerved off the left side of the road, careened into the grass, and tumbled downhill multiple times. Unfortunately, all three occupants were thrown from the vehicle. One 18-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the site, while another 18-year-old male succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. A 17-year-old male was also hospitalized for treatment, but the extent of his injuries was not disclosed. Authorities suspect that speed played a significant role in the crash.
