Fatal crash into tree on Taylorsville Road, according to police
The Louisville Metro Police Department is looking into a deadly accident on Taylorsville Road that occurred on Monday evening. The incident took place at approximately 8:50 p.m. in the 1400 block of Taylorsville Road, close to Pope Lick Park. According to witnesses, a man was traveling west on Taylorsville Road when he lost control of his vehicle and collided with a tree. Despite attempts by officers to extricate the man from the car, they were unable to do so, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. It was noted that the man was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, and there were no other vehicles involved. The Louisville Metro Police Department's Traffic Unit is spearheading the investigation.
