Fatal crash in Wright County injures woman severely.

A tragic collision that occurred in Rockford Township, Wright County resulted in the loss of two lives and injuries to two other individuals. The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday, November 22nd, on Highway 55 near the intersection with County Road 33 as reported by the Minnesota State Patrol. The crash involved a Chevy Equinox traveling west and a GMC Acadia traveling east on Highway 55, colliding head-on near the County Road 33 junction. The aftermath saw both vehicles rolling into the north ditch. Unfortunately, the driver of the GMC, Shawn Aaron Slaven, 50, from Plymouth, succumbed to his injuries from the accident. Mindimoie Monik Diggines, 20, from St. Paul, who was driving the Equinox, also suffered fatal injuries. An 18-year-old woman in the Equinox was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, while another 18-year-old woman from the Equinox was injured but is expected to recover.
