Fatal crash in Whitley County leaves 2 dead, 4 injured
On Tuesday afternoon, a tragic accident in Whitley County resulted in the loss of two lives and injuries to four others. The collision, involving a blue Dodge Avenger driven by Helmin Ruiz and carrying six passengers, took place on SR 9 near CR 500N. The car crossed the center line and crashed into a black F-350, causing fatal injuries to Ruiz and a passenger named Trinidad Vasquez. The remaining passengers are currently receiving medical treatment at a nearby hospital for injuries of varying degrees.
