Fatal crash in West Valley City after man flees accident scene
A 69-year-old man tragically lost his life in a head-on collision in West Valley City, Utah last Saturday evening. The incident occurred as the man was trying to escape from the scene of a previous accident, according to the West Valley City Police Department. Following a rear-end collision with another vehicle on 3100 South, causing a chain reaction involving two more vehicles, the man fled the scene and drove the wrong way on 3100 South, resulting in a fatal head-on collision with another vehicle. The man had to be rescued from his vehicle and was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Among the total of 13 individuals involved in the incident, only minor injuries were reported, and the man was the only one transported for medical treatment.
