A fatal accident occurred in Spartanburg County resulting in the death of one person, as reported by the South Carolina Highway Patrol. The incident took place at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Monday night on Rainbow Lake Road close to Lowe Lane. Authorities stated that the driver veered off the left side of the road, colliding with a utility pole and a tree while traveling west on Rainbow Lake Road. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed, and it is noted that the driver was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
