Fatal crash in Upstate, according to coroner
A fatal accident occurred on Thursday afternoon in Pickens County, South Carolina, resulting in the death of one individual. The crash took place around noon on Highway 178 near Table Rock Road. Reports from the South Carolina Highway Patrol indicate that an SUV traveling west on Highway 178 veered across the centerline, drove off the left side of the road, and collided with a tree. The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene by investigating officers.
