Fatal crash in Statesboro kills two
The Georgia State Patrol is currently looking into a tragic car accident in Statesboro. The incident took place shortly after 7 p.m. on Tuesday near the patrol post on U.S Hwy-301 close to Joe Kennedy Road. Sergeant Robert Scott from GSP-Statesboro reported that a Mazda CX-5 was heading south in the right lane when a Chevrolet Malibu, traveling north in the right lane, abruptly changed direction and collided head-on with the Mazda after crossing three lanes. Both individuals in the Malibu were declared deceased at the scene. Meanwhile, the Mazda driver sustained severe injuries and had to be airlifted for treatment. The investigation is still in progress, with no additional information available at this time.
