Fatal crash in St. Tammany claims life of Folsom woman
The Louisiana State Police are currently looking into a fatal collision that resulted in the passing of a Folsom resident. The incident occurred on Monday evening on LA Hwy 25 near Sweet Olive Lane in St. Tammany Parish and tragically claimed the life of Rachel Bitter, a 39-year-old woman from Folsom. As per initial findings, a 2015 Ford van was headed south on LA Hwy 25 when it veered into the northbound lane, colliding with Bitter's vehicle. Bitter suffered severe injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The van driver, who sustained minor injuries, declined medical assistance at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the collision are still being investigated.
