
Fatal Crash in St. George Involving Wrong-Way Driver
In a tragic incident on Sunday, three individuals lost their lives when a driver entered the wrong direction on I-15 and collided with another vehicle near St. George. According to the Utah Highway Patrol, a woman in her 90s mistakenly drove her Cadillac south in the northbound lanes around 6:20 p.m. After traveling about a mile, the Cadillac collided head-on with a Toyota Highlander, resulting in the deaths of the elderly female driver and the couple in the Highlander, also in their 70s. Emergency responders airlifted two other passengers from the Highlander to a hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. Following the accident, I-15 was temporarily shut down at the crash site, with traffic being rerouted off the highway.
