Fatal crash in St. Clair Shores: 2 dead after driver hits tree
Two individuals died following a car crash in St. Clair Shores when a driver collided with a tree, as reported by the Michigan State Police. The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Saturday evening near westbound I-94 and East 8 Mile Road. Witnesses informed MSP that the driver was operating the vehicle in a dangerous manner before veering off the road and hitting the tree. The two victims, a 40-year-old resident of St. Clair Shores and a 26-year-old Clinton Township resident, were both pronounced deceased at the crash site. The highway was shut down for around four hours for investigation purposes. F/Lt. Mike Shaw emphasized the importance of responsible driving, cautioning the public about the dangers of reckless driving habits that can lead to tragic outcomes on Michigan roads.
