Fatal crash in Springfield claims life of Texas woman
Authorities in Springfield, Missouri confirmed their response to a tragic accident that occurred on Tuesday night at the intersection of Grand Street and Laurel Avenue, resulting in the death of a woman. The victim, identified as Kathryn Kelly, 62, from Richardson, Texas, was driving a 2024 Kia Soul west on Grand Street when her vehicle struck a utility pole after leaving the road. Sadly, Kelly was pronounced dead at the scene, and her family has been informed. She was alone in the vehicle at the time. This incident marks the 15th fatal crash in Springfield this year, bringing the total number of deaths to 16. The authorities are still investigating the crash.
