Fatal crash in Southampton County, investigation ongoing
A tragic incident occurred in Southampton County, Virginia, where a woman has passed away after a serious car accident on Wednesday afternoon. The Southampton County Sheriff's Office was alerted to a collision involving two vehicles on General Thomas Highway at Atlantic Drive, just south of Newsoms, around 4:10 p.m. Natasha Boone, aged 39, was identified as one of the drivers and was airlifted to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries from the crash. The other driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby medical facility. The authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, and as of now, no charges have been pressed.
