Fatal crash in Shelby Co. closes Route 16; State Police on site
Update as of 10:24 a.m. - Illinois State Police are currently at the scene of a fatal crash involving two vehicles east of Shelbyville in Shelby County. Route 16 is closed at the site of the incident, and traffic is being diverted at IL Route 32. The authorities are not releasing further details at this time. Additionally, there has been a separate "serious personal injury crash" on Route 16 in the same county, causing lane blockage and closure near the accident site approximately six miles east of Shelbyville.
