Fatal Crash in Shakopee Shuts Down Highway; 1 Dead, 1 in Critical Condition
A fatal accident in Shakopee resulted in one person losing their life and another being critically injured on Monday. The incident took place on Highway 101 between Murphy's Landing and Canterbury Road. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene where unfortunately one person was pronounced dead and another remains in critical condition. The accident led to the temporary closure of the eastbound lanes of Highway 101 during part of Monday afternoon. The cause of the incident is not yet determined, with investigations being conducted by the Minnesota State Patrol.
