Fatal crash in Pondera County leaves 1 dead, 2 injured
A tragic incident occurred in Pondera County on Saturday evening when a single-vehicle rollover crash resulted in one fatality and injuries to two others. The accident took place near mile marker 325 of I-15, close to the Brady exit, around 11 p.m. The driver of a GMC Yukon was reportedly driving erratically and lost control, leading to the vehicle flipping multiple times, crossing lanes, and ultimately landing in a ditch. The driver, a 42-year-old man from Great Falls, lost his life at the scene. The two passengers, a 40-year-old woman and a 1-year-old girl, were transported to Benefis Health System for treatment, with the extent of their injuries undisclosed. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt, and the infant was not in a child car seat. The MHP is investigating the crash, suspecting alcohol, drugs, and excessive speed as contributing factors.
