Fatal Crash in Pierce Township Leaves 1 Dead, 2 Hospitalized
A tragic incident occurred in Pierce Township on Friday afternoon, resulting in one fatality and two individuals being hospitalized following a collision. The Pierce Township police were alerted to the crash location on SR-749 near Mt. Pisgah Road around 3:15 p.m. The Ohio State Highway Patrol took over the investigation, reporting that the driver veered off the road, striking two utility poles, and eventually coming to a halt. Emergency services transported the driver and a backseat passenger to UC Medical Center, while a front-seat passenger was pronounced dead at the scene due to not wearing a seat belt. Air Care was dispatched but did not transport anyone. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
