Fatal Crash in Outagamie County
A tragic incident occurred early Wednesday morning in the Town of Center, as reported by the Outagamie County Sheriff's Office. Regrettably, the collision led to the loss of a 47-year-old individual and caused significant injuries to a 19-year-old. According to authorities, the crash took place shortly before 6 a.m. close to the intersection of County Road A and Quarry Road in the Town of Center. Following the investigation, it was revealed that a 19-year-old female from Hortonville was driving an SUV north on County Road A, when it veered across the centerline and collided with a car traveling in the opposite direction, operated by a 47-year-old woman from Nichols. Tragically, the 47-year-old driver was declared deceased at the accident site, while the 19-year-old was transported to the hospital with severe injuries. The identities of those involved have not been disclosed, and the reason behind the SUV crossing the centerline remains unknown.
