
Fatal Crash in Orange County: Wrong-Way Driver Hits 4 Vehicles; 2 Killed, 4 Injured
Two individuals have lost their lives and at least four others were injured in a high-speed collision involving multiple vehicles in Santa Ana on Monday night. The Santa Ana Police Department responded to the crash on Main Street near Warner Avenue around 6:35 p.m. after receiving reports of the incident. According to Santa Ana PD Public Information Officer Natalie Garcia, witnesses reported a vehicle speeding on Warner Avenue before losing control and crossing into oncoming traffic on Main Street. Dashcam footage captured a BMW driving the wrong way just before the collision, narrowly avoiding a nearby Tesla. Emergency crews found four vehicles involved in the crash, with some individuals trapped in the wreckage and requiring extraction. Four injured victims were taken to a nearby hospital, while two others were pronounced dead at the scene. It is unclear if the speeding driver was among those killed. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident and potential involvement of drugs or alcohol.
