Fatal crash in northwest Wichita leaves one woman dead and four others injured
A tragic accident in northwest Wichita on Thursday evening resulted in the death of a 42-year-old woman and injuries to four others. The collision occurred at West 29th Street and North 135th Street, where emergency responders found a 26-year-old woman and two children seriously injured. The investigation indicates that a vehicle carrying the 26-year-old and children collided with the vehicle driven by the 42-year-old at the intersection, leading both vehicles to come to a stop in a nearby field. The investigation into the incident is currently ongoing. It is worth noting that nearly three years ago, Sedgwick County Deputy Sidnee Carter lost her life in a crash at the same intersection.
