Fatal crash in North Valley led to 2 deaths
Two individuals lost their lives in a collision in Albuquerque's North Valley on Sunday night, as reported by the Albuquerque Police Department. The incident occurred at the junction of Candelaria Road and 2nd Street NW, where officers were called at 7:48 p.m. in response to a two-vehicle crash. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the two occupants of one of the vehicles had passed away on site. The crash involved a blue Toyota Tacoma traveling west on Candelaria and a blue 1967 Triumph convertible heading north on 2nd Street, resulting in a T-bone collision. The Toyota subsequently collided with two other vehicles that had stopped at a red light in the southbound turn lane on 2nd Street. The driver and passenger of the Triumph were pronounced dead at the scene, while the Toyota occupants were taken to a hospital and are now in stable condition. An investigation into the crash is currently ongoing.
