Fatal crash in North Hollywood results in death of 1 person, passengers trapped
A tragic accident occurred in North Hollywood early Friday morning when a speeding car crashed into a power pole, resulting in one fatality and several individuals being trapped. The incident occurred on Vanowen Street near Lemp Avenue, with firefighters rushing to rescue the victims from the vehicle and provide medical assistance. Sadly, a 30-year-old man lost his life at the scene, while a 25-year-old man was taken to a local trauma center in critical condition. Additionally, two 19-year-old males were rescued and transported to trauma centers in fair condition. Witnesses reported that a Los Angeles Police Department patrol unit observed the speeding vehicle colliding with the power pole. The crash caused damage to at least one other vehicle, and a crew from the L.A. Department of Water and Power was dispatched to address the damaged pole.
