Fatal crash in Murfreesboro claims woman's life

Murfreesboro police have reported that a 63-year-old woman, Belinda Talley, passed away on Monday as a result of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash on South Rutherford Boulevard. The collision involved Talley's Nissan Altima and a Dodge Ram 1500 driven by a 17-year-old boy. Preliminary findings from the Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) show that Talley was at fault for the incident after failing to yield the right of way while attempting a left turn onto the boulevard. Emergency responders had to extract Talley from her vehicle following the crash, and she was subsequently airlifted to the hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. The teenage driver was also taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The impact of the collision caused the pickup truck to veer into oncoming traffic, hit a tree, and collide with a parked car at a nearby apartment complex. The FACT team is still investigating the accident. If you have any additional information about this incident, please reach out to us at [email protected].
