Fatal crash in Modesto causes road closure.
A fatal three-vehicle collision occurred in Modesto on Saturday afternoon, causing authorities to close down a road for several hours. Modesto Police Department reported that the incident took place at around 2:20 p.m. on Sick Road at Standiford Avenue. Sadly, one driver involved in the crash was transported to a hospital and later passed away. While the driver's identity has not been disclosed, it was confirmed that he was a resident of Modesto. The investigation determined that the driver was traveling south on Sisk Road when his vehicle collided with a pole in the center median. The vehicle then struck another pole and crossed into the northbound lane, ultimately hitting two other vehicles. Fortunately, all individuals involved remained at the scene, cooperated with authorities, and no additional injuries were reported. Police have indicated that the crash appears to have been caused by a medical issue.
