Fatal crash in Milwaukee on the south side involves moped rider
A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday night, Sept. 30, on Milwaukee's south side, where a young man named Jose Delgado Velez Jr., 20, lost his life after being hit by a car while riding a moped. The collision took place at the intersection of 27th and Parnell. Witnesses described the heartbreaking scene as they rushed to try and help the injured rider, who unfortunately succumbed to his injuries before help arrived. The driver of the car involved was a 17-year-old male, who has been detained by the police. It has been reported that impairment was not a contributing factor to the accident. Charges related to this tragic incident are yet to be forwarded to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
