Fatal crash in Milwaukee following police pursuit
Authorities in Milwaukee are currently looking into a police pursuit that culminated in a crash involving two vehicles, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, one of whom was a teenager. The incident occurred around 10:35 p.m. on Wednesday near North Downer Avenue and North Hackett Avenue. Law enforcement attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle that then fled, leading to a chase. The chase concluded with a collision between the fleeing vehicle and another vehicle near North 13th Street and North Green Bay Avenue. Sadly, a 17-year-old and another occupant in the fleeing vehicle did not survive their injuries and passed away in the hospital. The 19-year-old driver was taken to the hospital for treatment and subsequently arrested. Police discovered two firearms inside the fleeing vehicle. The occupants of the other vehicle involved in the crash, three individuals in their mid-20s, received treatment at the scene. The investigation is ongoing, with potential charges awaiting approval from the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
