Fatal crash in Magna leaves one critically injured

Two fatalities and one individual in critical condition resulted from a t-bone collision in Magna on Saturday night. The incident, reported by Utah Highway Patrol to FOX 13 News, took place around 10:30 p.m. at the junction of SR 201 and 7200 West. A white BMW traveling east on SR 201 collided head-on with a red Mustang attempting to turn onto the westbound lanes, causing the deaths of the two occupants of the Mustang and critical injuries to the BMW driver who was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance. The intersection remained closed for several hours, reopening at approximately 4:00 a.m. on Sunday. To respect the privacy of the victims' families, their identities are being withheld pending notification.
