Fatal Crash in Logan County, Injures Two

A tragic incident occurred in Logan County on Wednesday afternoon when a Columbus man lost his life in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 33 East near Bellefontaine. The crash, involving two commercial vehicles and a passenger car, occurred when a dump truck failed to stop for a disabled Kia Rio in the left lane, causing a chain reaction collision. The dumped gravel onto the road while the Kia and tractor-trailer overturned. The driver of the Kia, Abdikadir Nagati, was pronounced dead at the scene. The dump truck driver was airlifted to a Columbus hospital with serious injuries, and the tractor-trailer driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The investigation and clearing of the crash led to the closure of all eastbound lanes on U.S. 33. Multiple agencies, including the Ohio State Highway Patrol and local emergency services, assisted at the scene of the accident.
