Fatal crash in Lincoln County claims woman's life
Tragic news out of Great Falls as a 70-year-old woman from Troy lost her life in a collision on July 10, 2025, causing a temporary closure of part of U.S. Highway 2 in Lincoln County. The Montana Highway Patrol informed that the incident occurred just north of Troy around 1:25 p.m. when the woman, traveling east in a Jeep Patriot, veered into the westbound lane and crashed with a pickup truck driven by a 36-year-old man from Bonners Ferry, Idaho. The woman, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was fatally injured in the accident. It was noted that she was not wearing a seatbelt, though neither impaired driving nor any significant factors were involved. Fortunately, the pickup truck driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, was unharmed in the collision.
