Fatal crash in Largo closes part of Ridge Road: LPD
According to the police, a collision occurred at the intersection of Orangeview Drive and Ridge Road in Largo on Saturday afternoon, resulting in two fatalities and several individuals being taken to the hospital. Ridge Road is currently closed from Ulmerton Rd. to 8th Ave., and authorities are advising drivers to find alternate routes for the next few hours. The accident is said to have happened when a Kia Soul attempted to turn left onto Ridge Road. While authorities do not suspect that alcohol played a role in the crash, the Largo Police Traffic Homicide Unit is conducting an investigation.
