
Fatal crash in Kansas City injures 6
During the night, a tragic collision occurred at Lexington Avenue and Wabash Avenue resulting in one fatality and six individuals sustaining injuries. The incident began when a police officer attempted to approach a reported stolen white Hyundai Tucson near Independence Avenue and Brooklyn. The vehicle evaded the officer, who then ceased the pursuit near Independence and Wabash. Subsequently, the Hyundai was observed traveling northbound on Wabash at a high speed. Near Lexington and Wabash, the Hyundai disregarded a stop sign and collided with a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee. The driver, front seat passenger, juvenile passenger seated in the middle, and one left rear seat passenger of the Jeep were rushed to hospitals in critical condition. Unfortunately, the right rear seat passenger of the Jeep was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at a local hospital. The driver and rear seat passenger of the Hyundai sustained serious injuries, while the front seat passenger was unharmed. Presently, the driver and passenger of the Hyundai are reported to be in stable condition.
