
Fatal crash in Kansas City after driver flees police
In the northeast part of Kansas City, Missouri, a fatal crash occurred early Thursday morning after a driver evaded a police sergeant, resulting in one death and injuries to six individuals. The incident happened around midnight at the intersection of Lexington and Wabash avenues. The driver of a stolen Hyundai Tucson failed to stop for the officer and collided with a Jeep Grand Cherokee at the intersection. One passenger in the Jeep died as a result of the crash, with the driver and other passengers sustaining critical injuries. Both the Hyundai driver and a passenger also suffered serious injuries. Authorities were investigating the cause of the crash.
