
Fatal crash in Jefferson County leaves two dead, multiple injured
Two individuals have tragically passed away after a multi-vehicle accident in Jefferson County, as per state troopers. The incident occurred on Sunday when a Hyundai Kona SUV failed to stop at a stop sign on the K-237 Highway, colliding with a Chevrolet Suburban that was heading west on U.S. 24 Highway. The impact caused the boat trailer being towed by the Chevrolet to detach and hit a Chevrolet Silverado. The fatalities included the 33-year-old Hyundai driver, Shelby D. Copp, and a passenger in the Chevrolet Suburban. Several individuals, including two young girls, were hospitalized with serious injuries. The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
