
Fatal crash in Iron County injures 11
A tragic accident occurred in Iron County, Missouri, when a Farmington man lost his life and eleven others were injured in a collision between a Toyota Corolla and a Ford Transit Van on Highway 221. The crash report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) revealed that the incident took place just after 4 p.m., 1.5 miles north of Pilot Knob. The Toyota Corolla crossed the center line, leading to a head-on collision with the Ford Transit Van. Sadly, the 51-year-old driver of the Toyota Corolla was pronounced dead on-site, while two van passengers sustained serious injuries and nine others, including the van driver, had minor injuries. It was noted that the Corolla driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, while two van occupants, including the driver, were buckled up. The seatbelt usage of the remaining van passengers during the crash is unknown.
