
Fatal crash in Inland Empire caused by driver suspected of DUI causes 2 passenger deaths
Early Saturday morning, a man was taken into custody following a suspected DUI collision that resulted in the deaths of two passengers in the Inland Empire, as reported by authorities. The Riverside County Sheriff's Office received a call about a crash on Limonite Avenue and Beach Street in Jurupa Valley around 2:50 a.m. Upon arrival, deputies found two vehicles involved in the collision, blocking Limonite's eastbound lanes. One of the vehicles, a van carrying unrestrained passengers, had two individuals fatally injured. The victims' identities are being withheld until their families are informed. The drivers and other passengers involved were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The van's driver, Bryan Cruz-Arenas, a 23-year-old from Jurupa Valley, was arrested on charges including gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and DUI causing death/injury.
