Fatal crash in Hidalgo under investigation
A fatal three-vehicle accident in Hidalgo, Texas is currently being investigated by the Hidalgo Police Department. The incident occurred at the junction of Dicker and McColl Road and resulted in injuries to multiple individuals. Hidalgo Police Chief Romeo Rodriguez reported that a call was received by dispatch at 7:45 a.m. regarding a serious collision at the mentioned intersection. A vehicle traveling south on McColl collided with two other vehicles, leading to one vehicle overturning and another being stuck in between. The vehicles involved were a white pickup truck, a small maroon SUV, and a small white car. Preliminary investigations suggest that excessive speed and failure to adhere to traffic signals could be contributing factors. However, further details are pending as the investigation continues. Tragically, a male individual was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
